B

B'saari.  Race that the Denobulans made first contact with.  The Denobulans had previously thought themselves to be the only intelligent species in the universe, and many refused to accept that they weren't.  ("Future Tense" [ENT]).

B'saari II.  Homeworld to the B'saari.  On the planet, they used an experimental technique involving isolytic current to re-animate dead tissue.
  ("Horizon" [ENT]).


Baird, Crewman
.  (Morgan Margolis).  Crewman aboard the S.S. Enterprise.  In Hoshi Sato's dream while being transported from alien ruins during a diamagnetic storm, Baird deciphered the alien language from the race that was supposed to be on the planet when Hoshi could not.
  ("Vanishing Point" [ENT]).  Margolis previously played Vaskan Rioter in "Living Witness" (VOY).

bat'leth
.  Curved, bilateral sword used by the Klingons in hand-to-hand combat. 
("Marauders" [ENT]).

Bayshore Elementary
.  Grade school in Panama City, Florida that
Charles Tucker attended.  ("Fusion" [ENT]).

beetle snuff.  Commodity that was offered to Krem by one of his crewmates to be uncuffed.  He rejected the offer since it made him sneeze.  ("Acquisition" [ENT]).

Bennett, Crewman.  Member of the S.S. Enterprise who Phlox believed was about to mate with Crewman Namod.  ("Fight or Flight" [ENT]).

benzethonium chloride.  Antigenic compound that was given to Travis Mayweather at the central hospital on Risa as a painkiller after he broke his leg.  Mayweather was allergic to the chemical.  ("Two Days and Two Nights" [ENT]).

beresium ore.  Radioactive compound that was present in the asteroid that struck Terra Nova in 2081.  ("Terra Nova" [ENT]).  The date was stated as 70 years before 2151.

beryllium.  Metallic element used in the construction of starships.  ("Oasis" [ENT]).

Beta Magellan.  Star system that was home to the Bynars.
  ("Regeneration" [ENT]).

Big Sur Aquarium.  An institute located in California that displays live aquatic animals.  T'Pol had not visited the aquarium during her stay on Earth.  ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).

Billy.  Engineer aboard the S.S. Enterprise.  ("Civilization" [ENT]).

Billy.  (Clay Wilcox).  Worker at the carbon mines at Carbon Creek.  Billy challenged Mestral to a game of eight-ball, betting money versus having a drink with T'Mir.  He lost, but became friends with Mestral.
  ("Carbon Creek" [ENT]).

biotransport. The S.S. Enterprise's transporters were approved for biotransport, allowing for biomaterial to be transported.  ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).

"Black Cat, The."  1930's horror movie starring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi.  The film was in Enterprise's movie database, and was played while the ship was in orbit of Dekendi III.
  ("Stigma" [ENT]).

black hole.  Celestial phenomenon caused by the collapse of a neutron star.  The Vulcans had surveyed over 2,000 black holes by 2152  A class-4 black hole was encountered by the S.S. Enterprise.  The singularity altered the crew's mind and caused them to obsess over matters before faling unconscious.
  ("Singularity" [ENT]).

Blarney stone.  Block of limestone located in Ireland.  According to legend, if you kiss the stone it brings you the gift of great speech.  ("The Andorian Incident" [ENT]).

blood soup.  Food served to Captain Archer and Commander Tucker by Zobral.  Blood soup was a broth with chunks in it from the "essence of male."  ("Desert Crossing" [ENT]).

blueberry pancakes. Earth food made of batter cooked on both sides that Phlox was fond of.  ("Unexpected" [ENT]).

body-surfing.  Sport where one rides the waves along a shore without a board.  Captain Archer body-surfed in Oahu.
  ("Cogenitor" [ENT]).

Bolian female.  Some one that could've been introduced to Krem by one of his crewmates in exchange for being uncuffed.  ("Acquisition" [ENT]).

BoggaDenobulan who was the third husband to Kessil.
  ("Stigma" [ENT]).

boomer. Term used to describe those who grew up in space.  Travis Mayweather was a space boomer.  ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).

bore worms. Type of parasite native to Dakala that crawl into humanoid ears and lay eggs.  ("Rogue Planet" [ENT]).

Borg.  Race of cybernetic organisms from the Delta Quadrant.  The Borg operated by assimilating people and technology into their collective.  Debris from a Borg ship landed in the Arctic Circle on Earth in 2063.  It was later excavated by the A-6 excavation team, who were in turn assimilated by a couple drones that were resuscitated.  The ship was pursued by the S.S. Enterprise and destroyed just after it sent a message to the Delta Quadrant, alerting the Borg to come assimilate Earth.
  ("Regeneration" [ENT]).

borocarbons.  Chemical trace leftover after the ignition of tetrazine.  ("Shockwave" [ENT]).

Borothan pilgrim.  Name for some who had gone to view the Great Plume of AgosoriaSilik had disguised himself as a Borothan pilgrim when he infiltrated the Enterprise to prevent an antimatter cascade.  ("Cold Front" [ENT]).  The actual name Borothan pilgrim was not used in "Cold Front", but was later mentioned in "Detained".

Bortas
Klingon vessel previously under the command of Duras.  The Bortas was sent to retrieve rebels from the Rha'darus Protectorate.
  ("Judgment" [ENT]).

"Bounty."  Enterprise episode # 51.  Teleplay by Hans Tobeason and Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong.  Story by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.  Directed by Roxann Dawson.  March 21st, 2153.  Archer is captured by a Tellarite bounty hunter and is planned on being taken to the Klingons for a reward. Bozeman, Montana.  City on Earth where first contact was made with Vulcans.  It was the location of the silo that launched the first warp capable ship.  ("Desert Crossing" [ENT]).  Contact was made on April 5th, 2063.  ("Carbon Creek" [ENT]).

Brahe, Tycho.  Famous 16th century Danish astronomer who lost his nose in a duel over a math equation.  ("The Andorian Incident" [ENT]).

Brazil. Country in South America where Hoshi Sato taught exolinguistics.  ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).

"Breach, The."  Enterprise episode # 47.  Teleplay by Chris Black and John Shiban.  Story by Daniel McCarthy.  Directed by Robert Duncan McNeill.  No date given.  Enterprise is asked by the Denobulans to retrieve some of their scientists from a world that has had a change in government. GUEST CAST:  D.C. Douglas as Zepht; Laura Putney as Trevix; Henry Stram as Hudak; Jamison Yang as Crewman; Mark Chaet as Yolen. "Breaking the Ice."  Enterprise episode # 8.  Written by Maria and Andre Jacquemetton.  Directed by Terry Windell.  No date given.  Trip learns that T'Pol is transmitting secret messages to a Vulcan ship, which has been shadowing Enterprise for weeks. Meanwhile, Archer must attempt a dangerous rescue to recover two crewman stranded on a rapidly disintegrating comet. GUEST CAST:  William Utay as Vanik. Brennan, Liam.  Fourth grade student in Ms. Malvin's class at Worley Elementary who asked a question for the crew of the S.S. Enterprise about what they eat.  ("Breaking the Ice" [ENT]).

"Bride of Frankenstein."  Horror movie that was a sequel to "Frankenstein."  Commander Tucker planned on playing this movie as a series of Frankenstein movies on movie night.
  ("Horizon" [ENT]).

Brisbane.  City in Australia where Hoshi Sato had a pen pal when she was younger.  ("Dear Doctor" [ENT]).

Broken Bow. City in Oklahoma, Earth where Klaang's ship crashed and he was chased down by Suliban.  ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).

"Broken Bow, Parts I and II."  Enterprise episode # 1 and 2.  Written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.  Directed by James L. Conway.  Date: April 16th, 2151.  Captain Archer volunteers to go where no human has gone before to return a Klingon to his home planet - over the objections of Earth's Vulcan allies. This was the first episode of Enterprise, originally produced as a two-hour made-for-television movie, then divided into two hour-long episodes for later airings. brown dwarf.  A celestial body that resembles a star but does not emit light because it is too small to ignite internal nuclear fusion.  The Enterprise was near a brown dwarf after their bad first contact with the Kreetassans.  ("Vox Sola" [ENT]).

Bu'kah.  (Michelle C. Bonilla).  Klingon officer from the Somraw who managed to delay the effects of a neurotoxin on that ship by hiding in a food cooler.  When she found a boarding party from the Enterprise, she stole the team's shuttlepod, and sent a distress call for help.  She was apprehended by the Enterprise and eventually convinced to help the boarding party save the Somraw.  ("Sleeping Dogs" [ENT]).

Buddha.  According to legend, if you rubbed the belly of Buddha's statue, it brought forth good luck.  ("The Andorian Incident" [ENT]).

Burala Prime.  Planet where Zoumas claimed there was a surgeon that could reconfigure people's facial appearances.  He was stranded there for a while on one of the polar islands. 
("Canamar" [ENT]).

Buzaan.  (Connor O'Farrell).  One of four Eska hunters met by Captain Archer on the rogue planet of Dakala.  Buzaan was wounded by one of the indigenous lifeforms of the planet that they called wraiths.  He was taken to the Enterprise to be treated by Phlox, with his fellow hunters claiming he was wounded by drayjin.  Phlox found out that whatever attacked him left some of the shapeshifting chemicals in his wound.  ("Rogue Planet" [ENT]).  O'Farrell previously played Carlson in "Little Green Men" (DS9).

Bynars.  Race from the Beta Magellan system that had their parietal lobes replaced with a synaptic processor after birth.  Phlox was once able to view this operation.
  ("Regeneration" [ENT]).
